Data confidence

What is in the StockingLab database?

More than 1,000 freshwater livestock profiles, with confidence shown separately from coverage.

Coverage

StockingLab contains 1,003 freshwater livestock profiles. Records include adult-size planning values, reference tank size, social-group starting point, temperature and pH ranges, swim zone, temperament, relative waste and activity signals.

Why confidence is shown separately

A large database is only useful if the tool is clear about how much confidence to place in each record. Profiles with deeper species-specific review can contribute to automatic recommendations. Broader coverage records remain searchable and usable for planning, but are flagged when extra verification is sensible.

Compatibility reasoning

The live planner can compare the loaded records across water parameters, adult size, spatial use and behavioural rules. Some pairings have explicit species-specific rules while others are evaluated from shared attributes. A favourable result should still be checked against species-specific husbandry before purchase.

How records improve

Corrections and new evidence are reviewed against adult size, water requirements, group structure, minimum space, behaviour and known incompatibilities. If you identify an issue, please send a correction with a reputable source where possible.

Search quality policy

StockingLab does not automatically treat every database record as a search landing page. Pages intended for search indexing are limited to records and comparisons that provide enough useful, species-specific information to stand on their own.
